Reclaim My Attention Span

This is hard to measure, but it's been on my mind a lot lately. I often feel stressed and scattered, especially during the work day.
I feel that being bombarded by information is not healthy, and I am looking for ways to slow down.
In case it's not clear, this plan is still very much in the ideation stage. Please get in touch if you have faced a similar struggle and have been successful in making a change that has helped you.
Reducing Stimulus
Here are some things that I have tried or plan to try in the future in an effort to "lower the volume" of the noise in my life:
- Cut down on screen time in general, no multi-screen situations EVER.
- When doing computer work, focus on one thing at a time. Aim to avoid constant context switching.
- Minimize all notifications in all contexts to the greatest extent possible.
- Make listening to music a focused activity instead of in the background of whatever my active task is. Background music will be allowable in the gym, because I'd rather hear MY music than their (awful) background music.
